Mihir Jhaveri Joins Centri as a Director

PHILADELPHIA, PA – October 1st, 2018 – Centri Business Consulting, LLC is excited to announce the addition of a new Director in our Risk Advisory Practice, Mihir Jhaveri, to the firm. He has over 15 years of experience helping large Fortune 500 publicly-traded and private companies drive process improvement, minimize company risks, and enhance corporate governance. He has significant experience in managing audits and advisory projects including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 Compliance, financial, operational, IT, and system implementation reviews. His experience spans across multiple industries including Retail, Technology, Fashion, Personal Care & Beauty and Financial Services.

Mihir stated, “I am excited to join Centri to share my passion of risk management with our growing client base. It was a great opportunity for me to join the team and help grow our risk advisory offerings and continue to add significant value to our clients. Centri has a unique collaborative and an entrepreneurial culture, which helps bring the best from our team. Prior to joining Centri, Mihir worked at Vanguard, a $5 trillion asset management company, as a subject matter expert to share insights and best practices in building a SOX compliance program. He also served as a risk advisor to other large enterprise-wide initiatives. Additionally, he was responsible for managing risk-based integrated operational audits focusing on a variety of risks including operational, strategic, financial reporting, regulatory, technology, fraud, third-party, liquidity, credit risks, etc. He was responsible for training a large internal audit department on financial reporting risks and building a program to support this initiative.

Prior to Vanguard, Mihir was responsible for managing the SOX Program Management Office (PMO) at Qualcomm, a large publicly traded company, where he laid out a strategy to revamp their SOX program in accordance with the COSO 2013 Integrated Internal Controls framework. He served as a risk and control advisor to many large system implementations and merger/acquisition integrations. Prior to Qualcomm, he held different roles in managing SOX, IT, and operational audits at L Brands (formerly Limited Brands, Inc) and Staples, Inc.

He also spent 2 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the Risk Assurance practice in 2004 when SOX compliance became a federal requirement for public traded companies. During his time at PwC, he served large companies in the technology, retail, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to provide guidance on SOX 404 compliance. Mihir received his M.S. in Accounting and B.S. in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley College. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Ohio.

Ryan Starkes Joins Centri as a Partner


 

PHILADELPHIA, PA – July 9th, 2018 – Centri Business Consulting, LLC is excited to announce the addition of a new Partner, Ryan Starkes, to the firm. Ryan joins the firm as a Partner in it’s New York Metro office and has more than 25 years of public and private accounting experience for a broad array of public, privately held and private equity owned entities from entrepreneurial startups to large multinational organizations in the life sciences, technology and manufacturing industries.

Prior to Centri, Ryan was a Partner with a technical accounting and consulting firm that provides financial accounting advisory and financial reporting services to private and public companies, pre-IPO companies and private equity portfolio companies. Prior to that, Ryan served as the National Life Sciences Practice Leader for BDO USA, LLP, and previously as one of its Practice Leaders for the firm’s Technology & Life Sciences Industry Group. Ryan’s prior experience also includes leading the SEC Reporting Group at a Fortune 50 pharmaceutical company. Throughout his career, Ryan has worked with public, privately held and private equity owned entities from entrepreneurial startups to large multinational organizations.

He earned a BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University in 1992 and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of both the AICPA, New York and New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jim Dullinger Joins Centri as a Director


 

Philadelphia, PA – June 4th, 2018 – Centri Business Consulting, LLC is excited to announce the addition of a new Director, Jim Dullinger, to the firm. With over 20 years of public accounting and private industry finance experience, Jim has worked with both public and private companies in several industries including e-commerce/retail, financial services, information technology, life sciences, and manufacturing/distribution.

In addition to a wealth of SEC and financial reporting experience, Jim brings extensive leadership experience in technical accounting, corporate finance, restructuring, M&A support and due diligence, IPO readiness, internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404), and financial system implementation/enhancement.

Prior to joining Centri, Jim’s professional experience included nearly 10 years in public accounting at PwC and KPMG. The range of Jim’s client service offerings included multiple integrated audits, support for SEC registrations and ongoing filings, internal audit co-sourcing, merger and acquisition due diligence, systems integration support, and analysis and guidance in the implementation and application of various technical accounting standards. Jim was an instructor in both PwC and KPMG’s learning and development programs, focusing primarily on complex US GAAP and SEC reporting issues. Jim’s private industry experience includes over 10 years as CFO, VP Finance, and Controller for primarily startup and middle-market companies focused on high growth or turnaround strategies. In these roles, Jim supported top-line growth while significantly improving operating efficiency and EBITDA, optimizing working capital, building/rebuilding financial processes and infrastructure, and leading several companies through strategic transactions at multiples well above industry averages.

In addition to being licensed as a Certified Public Accountant, Jim is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Jim earned a MBA in Finance from Georgetown University in 2008 and a BBA in Accounting from Temple University in 1994.

Centri’s Kristen Wik is Promoted to CFO

Philadelphia, PA – April 2nd 2018 – Centri Business Consulting, LLC is proud to announce the promotion of Kristen Wik to Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) effective April 2, 2018.  Kristen started at Centri in March 2015 as Controller and then later also took on the role of Director of Human Resources.  Kristen manages all of Centri’s accounting and finance responsibilities including financial reporting, banking matters, forecasting, accounts receivable and accounts payable as well human resources matters including corporate governance, onboarding for new team members, talent retention including Centri’s Mentor Program, payroll and employee benefits.

Managing Partner Michael Aiello stated “I am very excited to announce the promotion of Kristen Wik to CFO. Kristen has been a key member of our team and has been instrumental to the firm’s success.  She has already made significant contributions to the firm as Controller and Director of HR and now she will certainly continue to add significant value as our CFO.  Kristen is a role model and mentor to our team and I am extremely proud to call her our CFO.”

Prior to her time with Centri, Kristen was a Senior Manager with Baker Tilley Virchow Krause, LLP (formally, ParenteBeard LLC) for over 7 years. Kristen was a member of their Healthcare Business Services group. She oversaw multiple healthcare and not-for-profit audit engagements where she managed multiple team members, prepared and assisted in the preparation of financial statements, reviewed and prepared workpapers used to support audit opinions. She also prepared and instructed multiple internal training sessions.

While at ParenteBeard, LLC, she participated in the Leadership, Entrepreneurialism and Achievement at ParenteBeard (“LEAP”) program. It is a three-year program led by Penn State instructors in which selected participants acquire the skill set necessary to become an effective leader in today’s competitive, global work environment. She was given the Rising Star Award voted on by her peers at the end of the program.

Kristen received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from West Chester University in 2002 and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Zachery Fender is Promoted to Senior Accountant

PHILADELPHIA, PA – March 5, 2018 – Centri Business Consulting congratulates Zachery Fender on his promotion to Senior Accountant. Zack has over three years of public accounting and consulting experience.  In February 2017, Zack joined Centri, and since then has assisted clients across several industries with their financial reporting requirements, pre-audit support preparation, technical accounting research and the implementation and testing of SOX Compliance programs. Zack works with public issuers, as well as pre-IPO and privately-owned companies across numerous industries.

Managing Partner, Michael Aiello stated “Since joining the firm Zack has consistently demonstrated the work ethic, commitment and technical abilities that it takes to succeed and be a leader at Centri.”

Prior to joining Centri, Zack was an Audit Associate at KPMG where he worked on several public and private engagements for clients in a variety of industries including banking, insurance, healthcare, technologies and higher education. He has performed audit services for both public and privately-owned companies, including audits of internal control over financial reporting.

Zack received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Montana State University in 2015 and is a member of the Montana State University’s alumni group.
