James is a Manager at Centri Business Consulting. He has more than 6 years of experience in public accounting as well as business consulting and outsourced CFO/Controller services. He joined Centri in July 2024 and assists clients across various industries with SEC financial reporting and technical accounting research.

Prior to his time with Centri, James was an Audit Manager at Deloitte LLP in Chicago. There, he served clients in various industries including manufacturing/distribution, mining/metals, construction, and financial industries. His experience includes annual audits, interim reviews, and internal control testing for both public and private companies. Additionally, he has experience with ASC 606 adoption/analyses, IFRS accounting, remediation of material weaknesses/identification of material misstatements resulting in the restatement of financial statements; and other assurance services. He also spent time as a consultant for various small to mid-sized clients to direct restructuring strategies, cash-flow management for distressed businesses, and served as an interim CFO/Controller over their finance/accounting departments.

James received his BS in Accounting and MAS with a concentration in Information Technology and Systems from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
