Mariem is a Senior Manager at Centri Business Consulting. She has more than 20 years of public accounting, consulting, and private industry experience. She joined Centri in May 2021 and has supported clients in several industries, focusing primarily in manufacturing, technology, software, professional services, and healthcare. Mariem specializes in documenting the accounting treatment of various transactions, including revenue recognition, leasing, share-based compensation, and business combinations. She has also served as a dedicated resource to clients with needs in the areas of process improvement and documentation, audit readiness, and financial reporting. Her experience in both public accounting and private industry also includes preparation of periodic filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) including S-1, 8-K, Proxy, 10-Q, 10-K and Form 10 filings.

Prior to her time with Centri, Mariem was a Manager of Accounting Advisory Services at CBIZ where she was the local “office champion” for assisting clients in the adoption of ASC 606 and ASC 842.  This role entailed educating staff and clients on recent FASB developments, developing office-wide adoption plans and client project plans, monitoring engagement economics, developing and facilitating tools used in the assessments, and performing the analysis and documenting conclusions.

Prior to her consulting career at CBIZ, Mariem transitioned from various controller positions in private industry to auditing in regional and national public accounting firms.

Mariem received a B.A.B.A. from the University of Central Florida in 1989 and received her CPA designation in the State of Florida in 2003.  She is an active member of the Florida Institute of CPAs, chairing and or participating in various committees, including the Women’s Leadership Committee, the CFO and Controller Conference Committee, and the University of South Florida Conference Committee. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
