Vice President of Quality

Mike is the Vice President (VP) of Quality at Centri Business Consulting. He joined Centri in February 2022 and has over 20 years of expertise in accounting, advisory, and audit services. Mike leads the execution of financial activities and oversees quality operations across all areas of the firm. He is dedicated to standardizing processes, tools, and workflows to promote excellence throughout the organization, collaborating with Operations to enhance service delivery efficiency. Additionally, he conducts technical quality control (QC) and subject matter expert (SME) reviews for a range of projects, supporting technical accounting, financial reporting, as well as accounting and audit deliverables.

Previously, he served as a Managing Director at Centri, where he supported clients by providing technical accounting research and documentation on a range of topics, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment assessments, segment reporting, stock-based compensation, and foreign currency transactions. Additionally, Mike assisted clients with the preparation of periodic filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), such as Form S-1, S-4, 10-Q, and 10-K reports. He also chaired the firm’s Learning & Development Committee and continues to liaise with the Committee from a quality assurance perspective.

Prior to his time with Centri, Mike was an Assistant Controller and International Controller of Mistras Group, Inc., a publicly traded company. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing SEC financial and external reporting, as well as technical accounting areas including revenue recognition, leases, and stock-based compensation. He provided oversight with the month-end close process, group consolidation, and coordinated external audits. Additionally, he worked closely with internal audit to ensure compliance by documenting, implementing, and evaluating internal controls.

Before joining Mistras, Mike was an Accounting and Audit Manager at EisnerAmper, LLP, where he delivered accounting, auditing, and business consulting services to both public and private sector clients across various industries, such as technology, professional services, manufacturing, and retail.

Michael received a B.S. in Accounting from Monmouth University and an M.B.A. from Rider University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and an active member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs, participating since July 2024 in the NJCPA Accounting & Auditing Standards Interest Group.
