Burcu Selmi

Burcu is a Senior Manager in the Outsourced Accounting practice at Centri Business Consulting with over 15 years of public and private accounting experience. She partners with clients across a diverse range of industries, partnering with management teams on accounting operations and financial reporting needs.

Burcu has extensive experience leading audit, review, and advisory engagements, working with both public and privately held companies. Her background includes managing all phases of engagements, overseeing financial reporting, and advising on technical accounting matters such as business combinations, lease accounting, stock-based compensation, and equity transactions. She has also worked closely with executive management and boards, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and reporting.

Prior to joining Centri, Burcu was a Senior Audit Manager at BDO, where she led engagements for clients with revenues up to $1.5 billion and supported technical accounting and financial reporting initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held roles at PwC and other firms, as well as in industry, where she served as a Subsidiary Controller and Assistant Corporate Controller overseeing financial reporting for multiple entities.

Burcu holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Baltimore. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Virginia and Delaware and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
