Nicole is a Director at Centri Business Consulting. She has more than 8 years of experience in providing advisory services to a variety of industries, with an emphasis on internal controls and compliance. She joined Centri in January 2023 and is a member of Centri’s Risk Advisory team, performing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal control assessments including audit readiness, business process testing and reengineering, and remediation to improve business processes and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.

Prior to her time with Centri, Nicole was Manager with Cherry Bekaert within their Risk Advisory Practice, where she assisted clients of various sizes and industries and provided internal audit services and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 compliance. She also performed control self-assessments and helped implement best practices to comply with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Standards for Internal Control, which mirror the 2013 Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) framework.

Additionally, Nicole worked as a consultant in the federal practice of a Big Four Risk Advisory practice, where she was responsible for conducting and monitoring Office of Management and Budget (OMB) A-123 Internal Control Assessments and providing audit readiness and remediation services to Federal clients.

Nicole received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a M.S. in Accounting from East Carolina University. She has her certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA).
