Richard is a Managing Director at Centri Business Consulting. He has more than 14 years of public and private accounting experience. He joined Centri in October 2022 where he provides advisory services to clients across multiple industries. He is a leader in the firm’s Accounting & Audit Support practice and supports clients with technical research, preparation of financial statements, and audit support.

Prior to his time with Centri, Richard was a Director at PwC, where he worked in the firm’s National Quality Organization (NQO) technical audit and accounting office. There he was responsible for assisting US audit teams with complex accounting and auditing issues as well as analysis and issuance of new accounting and auditing guidance for PwC, as well as providing oversight, coordination, and technical accounting and auditing guidance to public audit engagements subject to PCAOB regulatory inspections.

Prior to his time in the PwC technical department, Richard worked in the New York and Los Angeles PwC office, managing both large public and private audit client engagements, primarily in the power and utilities industry. Prior to that, Richard worked in the PwC Cape Town, South Africa office, where he managed both public (SA and foreign listed) and private entity audit engagements in a variety of industries, including oil and gas, retail and consumer products, media, hospitality, manufacturing, and not-for-profits.

Richard received a B.B.S. in Accounting & Finance from the University of Cape Town, in South Africa. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA_ in New York. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.
