Centri Welcomes Mariam Morris as Managing Director

Philadelphia, PA – February 11^th, 2021 – Centri Business Consulting, LLC is excited to announce the addition of a new Managing Director, Mariam Morris, to the firm. Mariam has over 25 years of corporate leadership experience, including leading corporate strategy, investor relations, SEC reporting, human resources, and information technology.  She has led companies with international and multi-state entities (subsidiaries), negotiating terms of mergers and acquisitions, asset acquisitions and disposals, licensing arrangements, joint collaboration arrangements, and various operating agreements.  Mariam will be leading Centri’s CFO Advisory practice.

In her role, Mariam will focus on Centri’s CFO advisory consulting- adding value to businesses from early start-up through to maturity.  Her knowledge and experience, in addition to the expertise of the Centri team, will help during each stage of a company’s life cycle. From evaluating strategic opportunities like potential mergers and acquisitions, advising on equity transactions or fundraising, to supporting financial operations to ensure GAAP compliance, Centri’s CFO advisory services provide measurable value to interim management services.

Prior to joining Centri, Mariam operated her own private consulting practice in which she offered her leadership and transactional expertise across multiple sectors, including life sciences and information technology. She has worked with all stages of businesses, from small privately held start-ups to mid-size public companies. Prior to that, Mariam served as the Chief Financial Officer of Cerecor (NASDAQ: CERC) from May 2015 through August 2018 where she completed the Company’s IPO and raised over $50 million in financing transactions, in-licensed and out-licensed key assets, and completed two corporate acquisitions. She previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where she completed the Company’s IPO, raised over $56 million in financings, and oversaw the implementation and compliance of SOX both nationally and internationally (Sucampo was sold to Mallinckrodt in 2018). From 1991 until 2001, Mariam worked as a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Assurance.

Mariam received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University and her Master of Science degree in Taxation from Old Dominion University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas and is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and Women in Bio.
